In the headquarters of Hues Group, Christopher sat restlessly in his boss’s chair, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He had to keep his feelings in check, especially around Emily. He couldn’t afford to scare her by showing how much she meant to him. Two years ago, if it hadn’t been for his grandmother’s fall and her critical condition, Emily might already be with him. No matter what had happened in the past, Emily was now within his reach, and it was only a matter of time before he made her accept him. He had slept well last night for the first time in almost two years, and thinking of her made his lips curl into a smile. He picked up his phone, dialed a number, and spoke, “Dylan, there’s a waitress named Emily at ‘Rex.’ Fire her this evening.”
“Emily… Who?… After a moment of thought, Dylan recalled the girl. She was hardworking and sincere. “How did she offend you?” he asked, confused.
“Shut up and do as I say, or be ready to close the pub,” Christopher warned in a harsh tone.
“I’m sorry, boss. Your order will be carried out,” Dylan replied, almost in tears. “Also, make sure she regrets doing this kind of work and ensure she can’t get a job in any other pub,” Christopher ordered.
“Got it,” Dylan said, though he was still puzzled. Why couldn’t Christopher simply fire Emily instead of creating such a scene? But the pub belonged to Christopher, and Dylan had no choice but to comply.

Dylan hired some struggling actors to scare Emily and explained their roles. He arranged a VIP room for the scene to play out naturally. The actors, eager to please, put in extra effort and drank a bit too much wine. Emily, unaware of the plan, was assigned to their room and served them with her usual sincerity. ……………….She is Mine
Just as she set down the third batch of beer, one of the actors, Joe, asked her to join them for a drink. Emily politely declined, citing a bad stomach. But the boys, determined to embarrass her, persisted. Joe grabbed her wrist and pulled her off balance, causing her to fall onto his lap. Seizing the opportunity, he poured beer directly into her mouth, gripping the back of her head with his other hand.
Emily sputtered, her eyes turning red and her face flushed with humiliation. But she wasn’t about to lose her dignity. She quickly stood and slapped Joe across the face. The slap echoed through the room, and everyone fell silent. It was rare for a waitress to slap a guest in a pub. Emily herself was shocked by her reaction. She knew such behavior was common in pubs, but this was her first time encountering it, and she had reacted instinctively. She knew she had made a grave mistake and would have to face the consequences.

Emily was a needy person with no support. She couldn’t bear the consequences of her reckless act. As this thought crossed her mind, her whole body began to tremble. She knelt and apologized, “I… I’m sorry, sir. Please forgive me.”

Christopher, watching the scene from his office, threw a deadly stare at Dylan. He was already annoyed by Dylan’s arrangements. He had expected Dylan to hire a rich girl to look down on Emily and make her feel inferior, not to have a group of boys tease her. His blood began to boil. ……………….She is Mine
Dylan couldn’t meet Christopher’s gaze. He was praying for the drama to end quickly. But just as Joe made his demand, Christopher vanished from the room. “Fuck… That boy is going to die,” Dylan muttered, springing from his chair and rushing towards the VIP room.
Feeling humiliated by Joe’s words and actions, Emily dodged his hand, got up, and headed for the door. Seeing her leave, Joe smirked. “It seems you really are an arrogant fox. You need a lesson,” he said, catching her and tearing her dress from the back in an instant.
Emily was taken aback by this sudden, humiliating act. She was on the verge of collapsing when someone covered her with a coat. She looked up to see her savior—a tall, handsome man with a powerful aura. He grabbed Joe’s hand and broke it with one swift move. The other boys, intimidated, quickly fled. ……………….She is Mine
By the time Christopher arrived, the room was empty except for Emily and her savior. Christopher was relieved that someone had saved Emily from further humiliation, but his face darkened when he saw who it was.
Dylan also reached the room, his face turning pale at the sight of the savior. He couldn’t afford to offend this man. This person was Ronaldo Mayor, another business tycoon in A Country and a fierce rival of Christopher Hues.
Ronaldo turned to Dylan and complained, “Where are the security guards? Don’t you have cameras everywhere? How could no one have noticed this incident, or did you let it happen on purpose?”
